Monday – We worked on finding the surface area of a cylinder. All classes: Mathathon is due Friday, April 24, 2009. All donations are due next Friday, May 1, 2009. The school is trying to reach the goal of $20,000. Our team’s goal is about $2,500.00.

Wednesday – We had a quiz on surface area. No hw. Test-Monday on Chapter 12.

Thursday – We went over Lesson 12-1.  No hw

Friday – We watched a geometry video and went over Lesson 12-6.  Test Monday on CH. 12.

Wednesday – We had a quiz. We then began solving equations. (algebra) Class A p. 431 (16-31) Show all steps. Class C p. 341 (3-31). show all steps.

Thursday -   We studied solving subtraction equations and reviewed addition equations.  Class A p.346  (12-33).  Class C-no hw.

Friday – We watched a Geometry video and completed Search and Shade #46.  Finish for homework!

This week is Family Life Curriculum Week in all science classes.

4/24/09 Friday- Review and Family Life Video will be shown by the guidance counselor at 11:45. Students will view the same video, but in separate gender groups.

The official Family Life Curriculum information letters will be sent home on today. Please read this letter carefully and if you choose to opt your child out of the curriculum you must send written communication to Mrs. Warren. No e-mails will be accepted. Your child’s grades will not be affected by this exemption; however, an alternate assignment will be given. If you have any questions regarding the curriculum please e-mail Mrs. Jackson and a copy of the curriculum guide is available for parent viewing in the school library. The curriculum will be taught the week of April 20th.

Monday:  All classes– Turned in Reading logs. Completed worksheet/notes on Propaganda for classwork grade.  Activity with Power Words.  TCAP tests tomorrow.  Please make sure you are here on time.  Eat a good breakfast.

Wednesday –

Monday – We reviewed Circumference and Area of a circle. Class C took a quiz on area of a circle. We reviewed for TCAP. No hw all week.

Tuesday – Class C only had class. We studied about area of a trapezoid. Classwork: p.628 (1-15).

Wednesday – Mathathon booklet is due April 24th.  Donations are due by May 1. There is no homework, but those who wasted time during class need to finish the classwork. (Class C only)

4/13/09 Monday- TCAP Tips. Today’s lesson will be devoted to getting students physically and emotionally ready for the challenges of taking a standardized test. We will review by playing a round of Science Jeopardy.

HW- Language Arts TCAP test tomorrow. You will need at least two #2 pencils. Please eat a good breakfast and get plenty of rest. You are going to do a great job!! Please don’t forget your glasses if you wear them.
