Monday 12-1-08 Today we worked on Lesson 5-7 LCM. We reviewed GCF from earlier in the year. HW: p. 567-Lesson 5-7 (1-28) Even numbers only. Show work when necessary.

Tuesday 12-3-08 We checked hw and worked at the board. We had a quiz. No hw.

Wednesday 12-4-08 We discussed rational numbers and went over Lesson 5-8. No hw. We will have a test of Friday on Lessons 5-5 through 508.

Thursday 12-5-08 Today we worked on comparing rational numbers-Lesson 5-8. We have a test over Lessons 5-5 through 5-8. Study.

Friday 12-6-08 Test today–No hw.

Directions: In a shoe box, students are to build a model of one of the land biomes that we have studied in Chapter 7. The biomes include the tropical rain forest, tropical desert, tropical savanna, temperate forest, temperate grassland, temperate desert, tundra, taiga, and chaparral. This project is due on Monday, December 15th and will count as a 40% project grade. Students can receive 5 extra credit points added to this grade if they turn it in early. ( Before December 15th) Please do not spend a lot of money on this project. Check your attic and also with family members to find materials for your biome box. Please e-mail me if you have any questions.

12/01/08 Monday- Start Chapter 7 “Climate.” Biome Box Project due Monday, December 15th. Students will receive 5 extra credit points toward this grade if they turn it in before December 15th. This project counts as a 40% weight on their grade. Please do not spend a lot of money on this project. Students can find many of the things that they need right in their own attics.

12/04/08 Thursday- Chapter 7 Section 3 on Climate Changes. Take a quiz each over Global Warming and the Greenhouse Effect.

Friday 12-5-08 Classwork p. 188-189.  Class A turned this in.  Class C needs to finish for homework.  If you were absent, do this over the weekend.  A TEST was announced for Tuesday.
