Monday:  Continued with speeches in class.  Spelling list 16 for the week.  No written homework.  Homerooms– Remember to bring treats for treat bags for Thursday.

Tuesday:  Classes A, B, and C reviewed characterization techniques.  Class D continued speeches. No homework.

Wednesday:  All classes reviewed characterization and began character map for a Christmas story character. No homework.  Last day for grades for 2nd quarter.

Thursday: Complete character map in class.  Turn in Spelliing worksheet 16.  Class Christmas party today.

Friday:  Share character maps in class.  Write holiday paragraph in class.

12/15/08 Monday- Present Biome Projects. Students will conduct “Strange Gravity” demonstration.

Monday:  Class A completed lesson 5 began Wordly Wise Lesson 5 test. All Classes: Speeches will begin on Tuesday.  Students have been assigned dates.  Each student will submit all information about his or her speech in the 4H folder, along with the final ink copy and index cards the day of the speech. Classes B,C, and D completed Lesson 5, part B and C.  Complete for homework if not finished.

Tuesday:  Speeches were interrupted by ThinkLink testing.  This will make it necessary to push speeches back one day.  Library tomorrow!  Be prepared to take AR test if you have not done so.  Remember, AR tests are due Dec. 12!

Wednesday:  Library.  Remember to read for 20 minutes every day and record it on your Reading Log.

Thursday:  Speeches.

Friday:  Speeches. Spelling quiz 15 and worksheet #15 due.

Tuesday 12-9-08 Finish Classwork-E81 if not finished. We worked on Lesson 6-3-A/S of mixed numbers with borrowing.

WEDNESDAY 12-10-08 A/S mixed numbers cw/hw p. 250-251 (20-58) Much of this was completed during class time. Quiz tomorrow. TEST on Monday on A/S fractions and mixed numbers.

Thursday 12-11-08 We checked and reviewed last night’s homework. We had a quiz. The test has changed from Monday to tomorrow on A/S fractions and mixed numbers. Hw: Study for your test.

Friday 12-12-08 Test today.  Be sure you have finished p.253 (4-12).

Monday 12-8-08 We reviewed for our test tomorrow on Lessons 5-1, 5-2, and 5-3. Class C worked and turned in p. 190. Classwork was the worksheet on decimals–finish for homework. STUDY FOR YOUR TEST.

Tuesday 12-9-08 Test Class C- Complete classwork if not finished. P51.

Wednesday 12-10-08 We learned about LCM-Least Common Multiple. cw/hw p. 196-197, A-(5-43) class C (12-43). Quiz tomorrow.

Thursday 12-11-08 We checked and reviewed last night’s work. We had a quiz. No hw.

Friday 12-12-08 Lesson 5-5, comparing and ordering fractions is what we worked on today. Classwork, to finish for homework is P. 604 (1-20) for Class A and Class C (1-30). Be sure to show all work, as we did in class and at the board.

Monday:  Spelling 14 worksheet is due Friday before spelling quiz.  Homework:  Work on speech.  Body paragraphs due tomorrow. Create flash cards for new vocabulary list, Wordly Wise lesson 5.

Tuesday:  Reviewed new vocabulary words for Lesson 5.  Watched video on Perfect Communication.  Write introduction and conclusion for speech.  Tomorrow is library day.  Bring library books and overdue fines. Class A, complete Wordly Wise lesson 5, part A.

Wednesday:  Rough draft due tomorrow.  Bring a RED PEN!  ALL of my pens have been taken!  Anyone not prepared for class will receive a conduct mark.  We are peer editing tomorrow!  Spelling Bee at 8:30 a.m.

Thursday:  Peer edited written speeches in classes.  Homework:  Final ink copy and completed note cards due for check.  (These will not be taken up, so you can practice your speech over the weekend.)  Speech dates were assigned today for December 9-15 and written in agendas.  Remember, Spelling Worksheet 14 due tomorrow, and quiz 14 tomorrow. Class A: WW5, parts D and E1-7.

AR TEST PRINTED FROM THE LIBRARY IS DUE BY DECEMBER 12 FOR A TEST GRADE. NO EXCEPTIONS!  THIS MUST BE A BOOK READ DURING THIS QUARTER! NO LATE WORK ACCEPTED!
