Thursday:  Classes who missed Wordly Wise test on Friday completed this today.  Reminder today about the Accelerated Reader test due as a test grade before December 12, no exceptions.  Please do not wait until the last week and risk problems with this!  Tests can be taken during morning or afternoon homerooms in the library ANY DAY and must be printed and turned in to Mrs. Hammond. Homework:  Wordly Wise Lesson 3, Part C – Write vocab word and letters of answers; Part D- Write answers only. No test tomorrow, but we will complete this on Monday.

Friday:  Wordly Wise – Reviewed sections A,B,C,D and began part E of Lesson 3. Test Monday.

Wednesday 11-12-08 Today we worked on Simplifying and renaming fractions. There is no homework tonight. Classes A and D need to turn in Veteran’s Day sheet by Friday.

Thursday 11-13-08 Today we took a quiz on simplifying fractions. We, then, worked on renaming fractions. We checked this in class and turned it in. No Hw. Class D–Veteran’s Day WS is due tomorrow.

Friday 11-14-08 We completed our 5minute check and turned it in.  We worked with a partner in finding pairs of equivalent fractions.  We turned this in.  No HW.

Wednesday 11-12-08 Today we worked on Lesson 4-4, dividing decimals by decimals . We practiced decimal placement and continued to study division. No HW tonight. We will have a test on Division of decimals on Monday, 11-17-08. Classwork today: Lesson 4-4 p. 602- (1-10). Show all work. Classes A and D need to turn in Veteran’s Day sheet by Friday.

Thursday 11-13-08 Today we worked on division of decimals. We took a quiz on decimal placement. Class A cw/hw Silver Book p. 141 (7-22). Class C p. 141 (7-29). Show all work and add zeroes until it comes out evenly. Class C Veteran’s sheet is also due tomorrow.

Math Test has moved from Monday to Tuesday. It is on Division of DECIMALS. Please study.

Friday 11-14-08 We completed and turned in 5 min. check.  Class C turned in classwork from yesterday and the Veteran’s Day puzzle.  CW today was a Search and Shade for both classes.  Finish for homework.

Monday: 4H clubs met today in class.  Mrs. Edwards provided newsletters and information about the public speaking contest.  More information to follow in class.  Homework:  Wordly Wise Lesson 2A.  Turned in our Reading logs today and received new reading logs for next 3 weeks.

Tuesday:  Computer Lab today.  We researched topics for our speeches.  Homework:  Wordly Wise Lesson 2B.

Wednesday:  Classes B and C will make up Wordly Wise Lesson 1 test and Spelling quiz from Friday.  Homework:  Wordly Wise Lesson 2C.

Thursday:  American Profile news mag. article,  ”Why Do We Say That?” about expressions and cliches. Read Desolation Canyon story.  Wordly Wise lesson 2D.  Homework:  Complete lesson 2D if not completed in class.  Also complete Lesson 2E.  Staple all lessons, A-E, together to turn in tomorrow before test.  Spelling sheet 13 due before Spelling quiz tomorrow.  

Friday:  Test on Wordly Wise Lesson 2.  Quiz on Spelling Lesson 13.
