Monday: 4H clubs met today in class.  Mrs. Edwards provided newsletters and information about the public speaking contest.  More information to follow in class.  Homework:  Wordly Wise Lesson 2A.  Turned in our Reading logs today and received new reading logs for next 3 weeks.

Tuesday:  Computer Lab today.  We researched topics for our speeches.  Homework:  Wordly Wise Lesson 2B.

Wednesday:  Classes B and C will make up Wordly Wise Lesson 1 test and Spelling quiz from Friday.  Homework:  Wordly Wise Lesson 2C.

Thursday:  American Profile news mag. article,  ”Why Do We Say That?” about expressions and cliches. Read Desolation Canyon story.  Wordly Wise lesson 2D.  Homework:  Complete lesson 2D if not completed in class.  Also complete Lesson 2E.  Staple all lessons, A-E, together to turn in tomorrow before test.  Spelling sheet 13 due before Spelling quiz tomorrow.  

Friday:  Test on Wordly Wise Lesson 2.  Quiz on Spelling Lesson 13.  

Note:  New!  Look for an Accelerated Reader book online at www.arbookfind.com!  Students or parents can use this web site.  Remember, one AR test per 9 weeks is required to be printed and handed in to Language Arts for a test grade.
