Please remember that the CMS Attendance Office does not accept emails regarding attendance. If a child is absent, he/she must bring a note to the attendance office upon their return.  If a student is checking out, he/she must bring a note to the attendance office that morning to get a dismissal slip.  (See CMS Handbook)  All correspondence regarding your child’s attendance should primarily be directed to the attendance office. Although teachers certainly appreciate the notification, the data must be registered with the attendance office.   We understand that, occasionally, a doctor’s appointment may be scheduled after the child has left for school.  In this instance, please phone the CMS attendance office to advise them of the appointment and arrange for dismissal.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will benefit everyone!
