Tuesday 9-30-08 We discussed mean, median, and mode. HW: Lesson 2-4-p. 568 (2,4,9,11,12) Show all work.

Wednesday 10-1-08 We worked on stem and leaf plots. hw: WB Lesson 3-5 (7-12)

Thursday 10-2-08 We took a quiz today. Then, we checked homework and Began a discussion of Box and Whisker Plots. HW: None

Friday 10-3-08 Today we worked on box and whisker plots.  We have a test next Friday on Chapter 2.

With Halloween coming and candy is readily available in bulk and often on sale, I would appreciate any wrapped and single bite candy to use as rewards in the classroom.  Your child will let you know what the children like.

Tuesday 9-30-08 We studied Lesson 2-3 on circle graphs. We completed WB lesson 2-3 in class. Class C- Complete WB Lesson 2-4.

Wednesday 10-1-08 Today we completed and checked and turned in the Mid-Chapter Test. We began discussing stem and leaf plots. No hw.

Thursday 10-2-08 We discussed Stem and Leaf Plots. We worked at the board.

Hw: Class A WS Do 2,4, and 5-8. Class C- complete all. Quiz tomorrow.

Friday 10-3-08 Today we took a quiz and turned in homework. We then worked on finding the mean.  Class C only–p. 598 Lesson 2-6-all(Classwork turned in–If you were absent, be sure to make this up.)

If your Reading Log was not checked, you must turn it in Tuesday for credit for last week.

Tuesday: We learned about Narrative Writing, and we began a narrative paragraph about a pleasant surprise we’ve experienced. We began by creating an idea web, then a chart to organize the sequence of events. We will complete on Thursday. Wednesday is library. Bring books and library folder.

Wednesday: Library today. Students also received their STAR reading and Think Link Language Arts scores. The attached note should be signed by a parent and returned for a homework grade.

Thursday: Review spelling words. Don’t forget to visit www.spellingcity.com! We completed paragraph in class and learned how to assess our paragraphs. Homework: Study for Quiz on Spelling List 7. D class needs to write final ink copy of paragraph, which was not finished in class.

Friday: Spelling Quiz. Read Desolation Canyon Chapter 4 in class.

Thursday 9-25-08 We used our frequency Table to draw a bar graph. hw: Study 58-59. Do 1-10 on those pages.

Friday9-26-08 We went over hw from last night.  We discussed Lesson 2-2.  No hw.

Monday 9-22-08 Today we reviewed equations and worked on finding the area of rectangles and squares. HW: WB lesson 1-8. Be sure to show the 3 steps. Test Wed. on 1-5, 1-6, 1-7, and 1-8. Study.
